| Aaron Hernandez's death means his murder conviction is likely to disappear. Under Massachusetts law, defense attorneys can seek to have convictions vacated when a defendant dies before an appeal is heard.

| Choate Rosemary Hall released Thursday a 48 page investigation that details decades of sexual misconduct involving former faculty and staff member.
Some of the abuse was never reported and some reported cases were kept secret within its walls.

| The jury heard closing arguments Tuesday in the trial of a man charged with killing his 7-month-old son by throwing him off a bridge.
The prosecution and defense made their summations in Middletown Superior Court in the case of Tony Moreno. Jurors are now deliberating Moreno's fate.

| The word "mope" is causing a lot of controversy, even landing New Haven Assistant Police Chief Luiz Cassanova with a one-day suspension.
Cassanova's attorney, Norm Pattis, said the word "mope" -- which has traditionally been defined as someone who is dejected or in low spirits, but has taken on the secondary meaning of a criminal up to no good or a person presenting themselves as uneducated -- was thought to have been used in reference to how a black officer was wearing his hat.

| The state has served a fugitive from Georgia who has lived in Connecticut for 48 years with an extradition warrant. Robert Stackowitz, 71, escaped from a prison work camp in Carrolton, Georgia back in 1968. That was two years into a 17-year sentence for robbery by force.
